Mila Epshteyn, BS MT (ASCP), CRC
Director of Clinical Research


Mila Epshteyn graduated from The State University of New York at Buffalo with a BS degree in Medical Technology . She graduated with Honors, Summa Cum Laude. She is certified as a Medical Technologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Mila Epshteyn has a strong clinical laboratory background obtained from working as a Medical Technologist for 10 years in the clinical laboratory at several hospitals such as Children's Hospital of Buffalo, NY, Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA, Eastside Emory Medical Center in Atlanta, GA and Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

In 2000, Mila Epshteyn started her career in Clinical Research at Quntiles Central Laboratories as a Project Manager.

In 2006, she transitioned into Quintiles Clinical Development Services as an in- house Clinical Research Associate (Monitor).

In March of 2007, Mrs. Epshteyn continued her clinical research career with Pharmaceutical Product Development, Inc as a Clinical Research Associate (Monitor).

She traveled extensively through the southeast region conducting routine monitoring visits of clinical research centers to verify that the rights and well being of patients who participate in clinical trials are protected. She also ensured that study data was accurate and that the studies were conducted according to the GCP, protocol and regulatory requirements.

In June 2008, Mila Epshteyn joined Perimeter Clinical Research as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Director of Clinical Research.
Mrs. Epshteyn has extensive clinical research experience in multiple therapeutic areas:

  • Infections Diseases: Coccidioidomycosis
  • Oncology: Prostate Cancer
  • Hematology: Hemolytic Anemia caused by Chemotherapy
  • Mental Disorders: Schizophrenia
  • Nervous System:Anxiety,Multiple Sclerosis
  • Circulatory: Cardiac Arrhythmia
  • Gastroenterology: Ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, Dyspepsia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea
  • Genitourinary: Interstitial Cystitis, Urinary Incontinence
  • Dermatology: Psoriasis

 Alex E. Rikhter, MD, Medical Director

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine

Dr. Rikhter completed the Internal Medicine Residency at Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

He has extensive training and expertise in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Family Practice, and Occupational Medicine.

Dr. Alex Rikhter has been practicing as a physician at his private practice, Perimeter Clinic, for 8 years during which he won the trust of many patients, who rely on his medical knowledge and expertise to find the best possible medical or surgical treatment for their ailments. His practice has an electronic clinical database containing approximately 15,000 patient records.

Dr. Rikhter specializes in treatment of patients ages 12 through geriatrics and he treats patients with a variety of medical conditions in the following therapeutic areas :

Dr. Alex Rikhter is well respected by his colleagues in the Atlanta medical community. He is the attending physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Northside Hospital and Piedmont Hospital of Atlanta, Georgia.
